January 27th - February 2nd, 2013
Overview:
Jupiter (
Lord of Plenty) resumes forward motion this week after
standing still on Wednesday. Changes in a planet's direction are always
accompanied by a peak in the energy symbolized by the planet, in
Jupiter's case this energy expands us to wider horizons and broadens
communication lines. Religion, higher education, and the media are all
channels which this expansion utilizes. Climbing up a career ladder
into more elevated status is another Jupiterian expression. When
Jupiter is in Gemini, as he is now, his expansive power can become
problematic by expanding Gemini's little bits and pieces of information
into noise. The urge for more and more information can procrastinate
the need for a decision. Be on guard for an unconscious "grass is
greener" attitude or an automatic urge to get more and more. These are
the relatively benign downsides to heightened Jupiter energy.
Sagittarians and Pisces people can experience
rising restlessness all this week peaking on Wednesday and gradually
receding after that.
Also on Wednesday in contrast to the overflowing
bubbly of Jupiter, the Sun makes his semi-annual right angle with Saturn
bringing focus and hard clarity. This is when our will and choices
meet resistance, coming to a stop unless we consciously apply pressure
or our methods are precisely suited to our goal. Capricorns may find
themselves teaching Leos about patience and timing. Leos may be trying
to get the Capricorns to warm up and let go of the past. Aquarians may
stand back with their arms folded and watch.
This combination may feel like we're driving
having left the emergency brake on. We're smelling smoke but not sure
where it's coming from, moving by leaps and starts. It's a form of
cosmic resistance exercise.
The Libra Moon activated over Wednesday night into
Thursday should smooth the flow, but first she makes a wide T-square on
Thursday with Uranus early and Pluto later that can be socially
disruptive. She finally links in harmony with the Sun Thursday night.
Last minute social adjustments come due with Venus at the end of
Capricorn and Mars at the end of Aquarius. The aforementioned T-square
of Libra Moon can add drama and finality to these last minute
adjustments.
Both Venus and Mars both change signs on Friday.
They form a natural pair whose powers we use navigating our
relationships, and it's noteworthy that this pair both advance to the
next sign together so tightly in time…within an hour of each other.
Expect to wake up feeling quite differently about some people and
situations on Saturday morning. Venus has dropped her caution and
conservative attitude (Capricorn) for a more progressive state of mind
in Aquarius, while Mars becomes shy and favors indirect Piscean action
over the sudden flash of Aquarius.
Sunday January 27, 2013 Leo Moon
Try to avoid tantrums when the Leo Moon squares Saturn and doesn't get what she wants. Accepting limits leads to strength.
Monday January 28, 2013 Leo -> Virgo Moon
The Moon goes VOID opposite Mars
at 8:59am/11:59am and some will refuse to accept limits and rebel.
Cooler heads prevail when the Moon enters Virgo at 3:27pm/6:27pm.
Tuesday January 29, 2013 Virgo Moon
After the histrionics, we can get work done today
with good contacts from Moon to both Pluto and Saturn. A good day for
budgeting.
Wednesday January 30, 2013 Virgo -> Libra Moon
Another long VOID Moon day until
5:59pm/8:59pm but we feel like we're moving through mud with the Sun
square to Saturn. More about limits and focus. Twice a year this comes
to bring a reality check.
Thursday January 31, 2013 Libra Moon
With the Moon in Libra we can step back and learn
from Sun square Saturn with less emotion. But Uranus - Pluto won't let
us ignore the global situation.
Friday February 1, 2013 Libra Moon
Both Venus and Mars change signs today into
Aquarius and Pisces respectively. Practical and detached becomes avant
garde and spacey. Very noticeable shift in social attitudes.
Saturday February 2, 2013 Libra -> Scorpio Moon
A busy Scorpio Moon emotionally charges Mars and Venus in their new locations. Bridges are burning.
Ongoing
Jupiter is in Gemini until next year.
Saturn is in Scorpio going retrograde early 2013.
