I began watching this movie and became immediately charmed by the way information about December 21st was being explained. I really like the empirical data that outlines what is transpiring from the purview of astronomy and astrology, in this case. Maybe that is because I am still a little sceptical, unsure, about exactly what ascension is REALLY supposed to look like. But with explanations like the ones given in this documentary, I feel at least I have a running start, that I am not going to drift off to 5-D unescorted, on my own without a map. Which brings to mind the graphs and diagrams that clarify what the planets are doing at this time - perfect for those of us who become bleary-eyed at the sight of an astrological chart.
The movie offers a very balanced view, drawing from various cultures and discipline, of this new era. It really isn't the monopoly of the Mayans or their calendar. This transition is universal, it's just that the Mayan explanation became the popular, well-packaged urban legend, albeit of substance and one that echos around the globe. But the documentary really speaks to an inclusiveness of philosophies, drawing from a broader frame of reference and further enlightening us in the process. -S.C.-
